Seniors Money is running a series of CPD seminars throughout the year.

The Seminars will outline the details of the Lifetime Mortgage market which is set to grow exponentially over the next few years and will increasingly be seen as an integral part of pensions planning. The response we’ve received from Irish brokers has been impressive in this exciting and rapidly growing market, which was worth an estimated €150m in 2007.

Recent research from the Financial Regulator indicates that 40% of consumers over 50 (that’s 450,000 people) will consider this form of finance, which will effectively become part of retirement planning. Brokers represent a key advisory group for many consumers and as such this presents brokers with an immediate opportunity to play a critical role in the post retirement finance market as it grows.
